Robert W. Tyler, 66, of Parishville

PARISHVILLE - Funeral services for 66-year old Mr. Robert W. Tyler of Parishville will be held Monday, December 28, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam. Pastor Lee Sweeney Pastor of the Knapps Station Community Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Parishville.

Friends may call at the Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam on Sunday afternoon and Sunday evening from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 7:00 to 9:00 pm If friends so desire memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Parishville Vol. Rescue Squad. Robert died at the Canton Potsdam Hospital in Potsdam on December 23, 2009.

He is survived by his wife Cindy of Parishville, six sons, Christopher (and his fiancee Mackenzie Knobel of Saranac Lake; Justin and his companion Elizabeth Gushlaw, students at Canton College; Michael, Troy, Cory and Jon Tyler all of Birmingham, AL, two daughters Stacie Tyler, a student at SUNY Plattsburgh; and Jodi Farris of Micmanville, TN; a sister Patricia Nobel living in British Columbia, Canada; a stepdaughter Carrie Baxter of Canton, 10 grandchildren, and one stepgranddaughter. He was predeceased by a son Daniel, and a brother David Tyler.

Bob was born in Watertown, NY on February 28, 1943 the son of Robert H. and Edith H. (Bailey) Tyler. He graduated from Parishville High School, and took numerous college level technical courses. Bob was employed at SUNY Potsdam College as a refrigeration mechanic from 1961 until his retirement in 1999.

Being an avid hunter and fisherman, he was a member of the Flower Hill Hunting Club, A life member of the North American Hinting Club. Bob was an Honor Roll member of the Parishville Vol. Fire Dept.

Arrangements are with the Seymour Funeral Home in Potsdam.
