HAILESBORO, N.Y. - Mrs. Susan Marie Hayden, 53, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at E.J. Noble Hospital, Gouverneur.

Susan was born June 9, 1956 in Gouverneur, the daughter of Lawrence and Mae Richer Boclair.

She graduated from Gouverneur High School in 1974. She had worked at Seaway Market, HopStop Convenient Store, Laidlaw Bus Company, and as a private home healthcare aide. She lived her entire life in Hailesboro.

Sue enjoyed quilting, sewing, making crafts, yard sales, baking, and dressing up for the holidays, especially Halloween. Her home was always open to the children of the neighborhood.

Susan married David E. Hayden on April 17, 1976 at the Gouverneur United Methodist Church with Rev. Stanley E. Brown officiating. Mr. Hayden passed away July 16, 2008.

Sue is survived by two sons, Lance E. Hayden of Hailesboro, Scott D. and Kimberly Hayden of Copenhagen, a daughter Wendy M. and Daniel Barr of Lakeland, Florida, a grandson Ethan Hayden, two brothers Michael and Noreen Boclair of Balmat, Eugene "Geno" Boclair and his companion Carolyn Whiteford of S. Edwards, and a sister Nancy Manning of St. Regis Falls. She is predeceased by her husband, her parents, and two brothers Larry and Jon Boclair.

There will be no calling hours or funeral services. A private burial will be held in Hailesboro Cemetery with the Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley.
