Arlene G. DubeyArlene G. Dubey, 74, of Oswegatchie, died Wednesday, January 06, 2010 at her home.

Arlene was born on March 31, 1935 in Edwards, NY to the late Ora and Leta (Harrington) Aldridge. She attended Edwards Central School. Arlene married Lewis N. Kerr on March 17, 1955. The marriage ended in divorce. She married Homer Dubey on July 21, 1973. He passed away on May 8, 1987.

Arlene was a housekeeper at Clifton-Fine Hospital for five years. She previously was a homemaker and bartended at the Candle Light in Fine and the Golden Glow in South Edwards. She enjoyed knitting and doing crossword puzzles.

 

Arlene is survived by two sons, Dean L. Kerr of Scottsville, NY and Homer J. Dubey of Oswegatchie; three daughters, Trudy L. and LeRoy McBroom of Oswegatchie, Marlene L. Kerr and her companion Earl Bennett of Gouverneur and Valerie J. Kerr and her companion Daniel Kerr of Oswegatchie; 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Arlene is predeceased by her twin brother, Ora Aldridge, Jr., and a sister, Dorothy Johnston.

Calling hours will be on Friday, January 8, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at French Funeral Home in Edwards. The funeral service will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. John Fetterhoff officiating.  Burial will follow at Oswegatchie Cemetery in Oswegatchie.

Donations may be made in Arlene’s memory to the Star Lake Rescue Squad.
