Ogdensburg Man Arrested on Thruway for Firearms Violation |

Subject was in possession of firearms in violation of an Order of Protection
WESTMORELAND, NY - On 12/06/09, Robert P. Goolden, 47, of Ogdensburg, NY was arrested by the New York State Police - Schuyler for Criminal Contempt 2nd after being stopped for erratic operation on the Thruway. Mr. Goolden was found to be in possession of three hunting rifles while the subject of an Order of Protection issued by the state of Florida which prohibited him from possessing any firearms. The Oneida County District Attorney’s office advises that the terms of the Florida Order of Protection are enforceable in New York State.
Mr. Goolden was released to appear in the Town of Westmoreland Court on 12/16/09 at 3:00 p.m.
