POTSDAM, NY - Potsdam Police located and arrested Bradley M. Crump, 19, of Massena, after receiving a request from the St. Lawrence County Sheriff's Office to be on the lookout for a vehicle that had just taken a shopping cart from Wal-Mart.

Police spotted Crump's truck with the Wal-Mart shopping cart in the back on Pierrepont Avenue at about 2:49 am this morning and pulled over the vehicle.

Investigation revealed that the driver was intoxicated but he refused to submit to a roadside alcohol test.  Crump submitted to a data-master test at the Potsdam Police station and was shown to have a BAC of .18% at the time.

He was charged with Aggravated DWI and Refusal to Take a Breath Test.

Two passengers in the vehicle were turned over to New York State Police for the theft of the shopping cart.
