Gouverneur Woman Faces Charges after Dispute

GOUVERNEUR, NY - Ogdensburg-based State Police arrested Veronica Cole, 41, of Gouverneur following a domestic incident that occurred in the Town of Morristown.

Police say that Cole was observed causing a disturbance at a residence by striking another person and using profane language.  Police say that when they attempted to take Cole into custody, Cole activly resisted arrest.

Cole was charged with 2 Counts of 2nd-Degree Harassment for threatening one person and striking another.  Cole was also charged with Disorderly Conduct and Resisting Arrest.

She was arraigned in the Town of Morristown Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 secured bond.
