Border Patrol Checkpoint Nabs 2

Local US Border Patrol traffic checkpoints led to two separate charges on Sunday, March 7. 

While assisting at a Border Patrol checkpoint in Waddington NY, State Police say they discovered a clear plastic bag containing approximately 2.8 grams of marijuana as well as a glass pipe containing marijuana residue in the possession of Chantell R. Pittsley of Malone NY.  Pittsley was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana and was issued an appearance ticket to the Waddington Court on March 17, 2010. 

Ryan R. Hess, 21, of Potsdam NY was encountered by Massena State Police at a Border Patrol checkpoint in the Town of Stockholm.  Police say that Hess appeared to be intoxicated.  A breath test was administered with a result of .11%.  He was charged with a DWI and Unlicensed Operation of a motor vehicle.  Hess is scheduled to appear in the Town of Stockholm Court on March 17, 2010.
