Man Charged With Breaking Child's Leg |

WATERTOWN, N.Y. - New York State Police in Watertown, N.Y. arrested Johnathan C. Truxell, 27, of Adams, N.Y. for Assault 3rd Degree and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
Truxell is alleged to have fractured his 8-month-old daughter's leg after becoming frustrated with her crying at his residence in the Village of Adams.
The child was initially seen by medical staff at Samaritan Medical Center on 02/08/10, but was sent to University Hospital in Syracuse due to her injury. The child is listed in stable condition.
Jefferson County Child Protective Services received a Child Abuse Hot Line referral regarding the child's injuries.
Truxell was arraigned before Town of Lorraine Justice Sheldon and remanded to the Jefferson County Public Safety Building in lieu of $1,500, pending court adjudication.
