Two Arrested for Crack Cocaine and Marijuana |

ALEXANDRIA, N.Y. - The New York State Police in Alexandria Bay arrested Jaiden E. Paine, 16, of Watertown, N.Y. for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia 2nd Degree, and Anthony J. Peterkin, 46, also of Watertown, N.Y. for Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
Ms. Paine and Mr. Peterkin were passengers in a vehicle that was stopped for having Inadequate Brake Lamps on State Route 37 in the Town of Alexandria this morning at approximately 1:09 a.m. Ms. Paine was found to possess 12 grams of crack cocaine and Mr. Peterkin was found to possess 1.3 grams of Marijuana.
Mr. Peterkin was also wanted by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department on an arrest warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle 3rd Degree. He was issued an Appearance Ticket returnable in the Town of Alexandria Court on 01/26/10 and turned over to the Sheriff's Department.
Ms. Paine was processed and arraigned in the Town of Watertown court and remanded to the Jefferson County Public Safety Building on $20,000 Cash or $40,000 Secured Bond.
State Police were assisted by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department and the Clayton Police Department and their K-9 Cosmo.
