BURLINGTON, VT - The following students have been named to the dean's list for the fall 2009 semester at the University of Vermont:
Jane McClelland, of Keene Valley, NY, a first-year student Psychology major in the College of Arts & Sciences
Erin Duffee, of Malone, NY, a sophomore Undeclared major in the College of Arts & Sciences
Patricia Rivet, of Saint Regis Falls, NY, a sophomore Radiation Therapy major in the College of Nursing & Health Sciences
Christopher Mickle, of Watertown, NY, a junior Psychology major in the College of Arts & Sciences
Sarah Gibbs, of Westport, NY, a first-year student Business Administration major in the School of Business Administration
To be named to the dean's lists, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.
Chartered in 1791, UVM was the first college or university in the United States that did not give preference to a religious sect in its charter. UVM now has nearly 9,900 undergraduates in eight schools and colleges, 1,400 graduate students and 450 medical students. As a small, comprehensive university, it blends the academic heritage of a private university with the service mission of the land-grant tradition.
