Andy SerwerCANTON, NY - Andy Serwer, managing editor of Fortune magazine, will give a talk called "Money Markets and Mayhem" at St. Lawrence University on Thursday, February 11, at 7 p.m. in Eben Holden. The event, part of the Contemporary Issues Forum, is open to the public, free of charge.

In this insider's take on the business world, Serwer will discuss issues facing the economy and journalism, including the likely winners and losers in Silicon Valley; a view of the meltdown and recovery; China's increasing economic dominance; and the collision of print and Internet media.

Serwer, managing editor since 2006, is responsible for overseeing and directing the multimedia bi-weekly Fortune, with a readership of more than five million, as well as its brand representations on the Internet, on television and on radio. Due to his success as business anchor of CNN's "American Morning," Serwer continues to be a regular contributor on a variety of programs produced by CNN, CNBC, MSNBC and other broadcast outlets. He also appears in weekly videos broadcast on CNNMoney.com, FORTUNE's online home, as part of his "Street Life" series, a round-up of market news.

The Contemporary Issues Forum brings experts and participants in the making of news to campus throughout the academic year.
