FORT DRUM, NY - A 2nd Brigade Combat Team Soldier died Friday, Jan. 1 from a non-combat related incident in Baghdad, Iraq.

The Fort Drum Soldier who died is Spc. Brushaun X. Anderson, 20, of Columbus, Ga.

Spc. Anderson served as an infantryman with the 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry). He deployed in October 2009 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Spc. Anderson joined the Army in October 2007 and arrived to Fort Drum in May 2008.

Spc. Anderson is survived by his mother and father.
