From Clarkson University:
We are proud to once again offer Project Challenge to area 10th, 11th and 12th grade high school students. Through Project Challenge, Clarkson University provides Saturday morning enrichment courses to North Country high school students during the months of January and February. Classes run from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, January 16 through February 13, with a snow date of February 20. The courses that are offered are described on the enclosed course description sheet. We invite you and/or your family to call if you have questions regarding these offerings. However, please check with your guidance counselor first before registering to see if you are eligible for state aid before self-paying.
Class size is typically limited. Students are placed on a first-come, first served basis, with the caveat that we will not be enrolling any students prior to December 18. While we do note that students should currently be in 10th, 11th and 12th grade, some exceptions can be made
To register, students must complete the registration form and have it reviewed by your guidance counselor. It will then need to be signed by the Superintendent. Please mail or fax this form to The Clarkson School as soon as it is complete. Information and registration forms are also be available online at http://www.clarkson.edu/tcs. If you have participated before, you should not sign up for courses taken in previous years. Both you and your guidance counselor will receive registration confirmation prior to the first class. There will be no refunds for cancellations after the registration deadline which is January 8, 2010.
The cost of Project Challenge 2010 remains $140 per student, covering all necessary supplies. Billing will be handled through B.O.C.E.S., allowing your school to be eligible for state aid. If your school is not providing support, you will need to pay $140 and indicate “self-paying” on the registration form.
