To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the North Country Quilt Guild, its nearly 100 members
have a full slate of events planned in November and after the New Year
begins. On Tuesday, November 24, 2009, four holiday gift and decoration
mini-workshops will be offered at the Black River Elementary School in
Black River, NY, starting at 7 pm.
Non-members
may pay a $3.00 entry fee to attend the Guild meeting and enjoy a
workshop to learn how to make a snowman wallhanging, placemats, a
cathedral window ornament or a fat quarter purse.
In
October, the Guild gave 35 “caring and sharing” quilts to the Jefferson
County Children’s Home and Victim’s Assistance Center.
