Potsdam PD Charge 4 with Alcohol-Related Offenses

POTSDAM, NY - At 2:15 a.m. on Thursday, 11/05/09, an officer observed Adam L. Wood, 26, of Potsdam, NY, making an illegal U-turn on Elm Street. The officer stopped the subject, who was found to be intoxicated. Subject was issued Uniform Traffic Tickets for Illegal U-Turn, Driving While Intoxicated - 1st Offense, and Operator of Motor Vehicle with BAC .11%. The case is returnable to Potsdam Village Court, 12/02/09 at 9:30 a.m.

Potsdam police were called to CJ's Kegs, Cases and More to verify an identification card at 9:36 p.m. on Thursday, 11/05/09. The ID card in question was found to belong to the subject's sister, and Stephanie L. Codd, 18, of Manorville, NY was given Appearance Tickets for Attempting to Buy Alcohol by Fraudulent Means and Criminal Impersonation 2nd. The case is returnable to Potsdam Village Court, 12/02/09 at 9:30 a.m.

On Thursday, 11/05/09 at 10:47 p.m., an officer observed Matthew E. Reason, 20, of Gouverneur, NY and Jacob J. Wicks, 18, of Carle Place, NY walking on Bay Street with open containers of alcohol. The subjects were stopped and both were found to be under 21 years of age. The subjects were issued Appearance Tickets for Open Container and Underage Possession of Alcohol with Intent to Consume, returnable to Potsdam Village Court, 12/02/09 at 9:30 a.m.
