The New York State Police Alexandria Bay
arrested Thomas G. Moore, age 55, Deposit, NY for Criminal Possession
of a Weapon in the Fourth Degree, on Friday, 10/30/09. Mr.
Moore stopped at the Customs and Border Protection office at the
Thousand Islands Port of Entry to register his rifle before entering
Canada. A routine check revealed he had a prior felony conviction from
December 15, 1982, which prohibited him from possessing a firearm.
US Customs and Border Protection Officers turned him over to the New
York State Police. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to
the Town of Orleans Court on 11/19/09, and released.
