In today’s Frog Blog, we pay another visit to country music’s toughest chick, Miranda Lambert.

Miranda was (born on 11/10/83) grew up in Lindale, Texas. Her parents were private investigators, which probably made her early dating life challenging. These days, she’s hooked up with Blake Shelton; they’ve been an item for several years. More on the status of that relationship in a minute.

First, let’s talk more about Miranda’s folks, Rick and Beverly. They sure are proud of their little girl. How proud? Well, they just opened up a store that’s a one-stop shop for all things Miranda. The Miranda Lambert Store & Red 55 Winery, which opened in February of this year, is located at 100 East Hubbard Street in downtown Lindale. They carry her CDs, t-shirts and other swag you’d normally find at her concerts. Plus, the shelves are well-stocked with bottles of their daughter’s own line of “Red 55” wine. The name comes from a classic pickup tuck that she received on her 17th birthday. Varieties of the wine are named after the singer’s songs and albums, like “Kerosene” and “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” Also, there is “Electric Pink,” after one of her guitars. The venue has live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Miranda says: “It's kind of an acoustic thing. It's really cool! Our little town never had anything like that. We never had a music venue. I would have loved it if it would've been there when I was trying to do something!”

Okay, about Blake. Miranda told the following funny story about their relationship: “I've figured it out with Blake. Two Christmases ago, I wanted a mini-horse really bad. So I said, ‘I want a ring or a mini-horse.’ The next day, here's Blake with this 31-inch horse on a rope standing in my driveway. So every time I say I want something or a ring, I always get that something. I have a marketing plan of my own!”

Miranda’s most recent CD, Revolution, debuted on top of Billboard’s Country Albums chart. The first single, “Dead Flowers,” kinda petered out in the lower half of the Top 40, but its follow-up, “White Liar,” is doing quite well. Enjoy the video here today, and watch for the cameo by (I STILL think he looks like an axe murderer!!) Jamey Johnson.
