POTSDAM, NY - Potsdam Village Police arrested 5 individuals Saturday and Sunday on a variety of charges.

Matthew J. McGrath, 25, of Norfolk, NY was charged with 2nd-Degree Obstructing Governmental Administration and 2nd-Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation.  Police say that McGrath was attempting to remove a suspect from the Canton-Potsdam Hospital and that McGrath refused to give his name to patrols when they made contact with him.   McGrath was later found to have had his license revoked.

Mario R. Balzano, 19, of Johnstown, NY was charged with Unlawful Possession of Alcohol under 21.

Bryan C. Hewes, 37, of Potsdam, NY was charged with Trespass after patrols responded to a call of unlawful entry to a woman's house on Walnut Street and found the subject to be sleeping on a couch in the living room.

Nancy Zhao, 21, of Potsdam, NY was charged with Public Urination and 3rd-degree Possession of a Forged Instrument after police say that she provided a fake driver's license when approached by police.

Biff J. Harbart, 20, of Colton, NY was charged with Passing a Red Light and 3rd-Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation.
