POTSDAM, NY - Potsdam Village Police Department charged five people in separate incidents on Wednesday, 10/21/09.
Nicole C. Hawkins, 26, of Norwood, NY was involved in a one-car accident on Larnard Street in which her vehicle left the roadway, striking a utility pole and snapping it in two. The Potsdam Fire Department also assisted at the scene. Hawkins was charged with 3rd-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and moving from a lane unsafely. James E. Waterson, 69, of Hannawa Falls, NY was ticketed for traveling 43 mph in a 30 mph zone on Pierrepont Avenue. Michael J. Bradley, 22, of New Hartford, NY, was given a ticket for driving 46 mph in a 30 mph zone on Clarkson Avenue. Courtney A. Bush, 20, of Potsdam, NY, was ticketed for driving 47 mph in a 30 mph zone on Clarkson Avenue. Ryan L. Cerullo, 19, of Liberty, NY, was charged with failure to yield the right of way to a pedestrian. The incident occurred on Lake Placid Drive at SUNY Potsdam.
