Potsdam PD Charge 10 over Weekend

POTSDAM, NY - Potsdam Village Police Department charged 10 individuals between Friday evening and Sunday night:

Amanda K. Klosner, 22, of Heuvelton, NY was ticketed for Passing a Red Light on Market Street.

Eric D. Tait, 18,of Webster, NY was ticketed for Inadequate Lights (one headlight out) on Lawrence Avenue.

Andrea L. Parker, 22, of Lancaster, NY was ticketed for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign on Missouri Avenue.

Christopher J. Rogers, 21, of Farmingdale, NY was charged for Disorderly Conduct after police allegedly witnessed him kicking a political sign on Main Street.

Andrea T. Bognaski, 20, of Lafargeville, NY was ticketed for Open Container and Underage Possession of Alcohol on Pierrepont Avenue.

Matthew S. Reed, 21, of Alexandria Bay, NY was ticketed for Underage Possession of Alcohol on Pierrepont Avenue.

Ryan M. Donovan, 21, of Camillus, NY was charged with Public Urination and Resisting Arrest.  Police indicate that when the officer approached Donovan to speak with him, Donovan ran away and was eventually caught and charged.

Vicky L. Saarinen, 44, of Potsdam, NY was charged for having an Open Fire at her residence.

Kyle P. Green, 23, of Bel Air, MD was ticketed for Speeding on Maple Street.

Philip S. Cortese, 45, of Massena, NY was charged with 2nd-Degree Harassment.  Potsdam police picked him up on an outstanding Arrest Warrant after he was stopped for an unindicated traffic offense in the village.  Cortese was arraigned before Judge Garner and released to reappear at a later date.

Axton L. Parker, 25, of Potsdam, NY was charged with 2nd-Degree Menacing following an investigation into a disagreement with his roommate in which Parker allegedly threatened to hit his roommate with a fire extinguisher.


 

Additionally, the Potsdam Village Police department is investigating an assault which allegedly occurred on Friday night in the Village of Potsdam. 

Police say that three assailants attacked a single victim in the Main Street parking lot at approximately 8:45 pm.  The suspects were possibly seen leaving the Bay Street area in a Dark Red Midsized SUV.
