GOUVERNEUR – A private burial will be held for Larry H.
“Big Weav” Weaver in Maple
Grove Cemetery, Richville with Green Funeral Home, Gouverneur.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services.
Mr. Weaver passed away Tuesday, October 13, 2009 in Ogdensburg.
He was born in Gouverneur on July 9, 1951, the son of Harold and Helen Reed Weaver.
Larry married Darlene M.
Huntington in 1983 in Tampa, Florida.
He graduated from Gouverneur High School
and attended Canton ATC. Larry was a produce manager for P&C Food Company
for several years. He owned and operated D&L General Stores in Gouverneur, Heuvelton, and Old DeKalb.
Big Weav
was a member of Ducks Unlimited and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed
hunting, farming, animals, especially his birds, and spending time with his
grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his wife
Darlene, a son Larry G. and Diane Weaver of Gouverneur,
a daughter Lisa M. Weaver and her husband Shawn Kirby of Johnson
City, a stepson Jason W. and Wendy Overlee
of Virginia, eleven grandchildren, and a great grandchild. He is predeceased by
his father Harold Weaver, mother Helen Bresett, and
stepfather Gerald Bresett.
