CHIPPEWA BAY, NY - The 5th Annual Chippewa Bay Women's Competition was held September 5th, 2009 at the Chippewa Bay Fish and Game Club's Annual Corn Roast.

The First, Second, and Third Place winners from the previous four years were recalled to compete this year along with 3 Rookies, Michelle Coates, Lynn Sprabary, and Kathy Fergison.

The women completed a timed obstacle course that tested their skills in log walking, setting a tip-up, splitting wood, casting a fishing rod, hammering, and shooting.

Organizers say that this year's competition was a resounding success with the women showing some incredible talent.  

First place was awarded to Rookie Lynn Sprabary with a time of 3:28.  Jade Reynolds took second place with a time of 3:31 and third place was awarded to another Rookie -Kathy Fergison with a time of 3:54.
