Wellesley Island, NY - State Police in Alexandria Bay arrested Robert Champagne, 43, of Lantiere, PQ and Roger Therrien, 56, of Desmonts, PQ at the Wellesley Island Border Crossing. Police allege that the two were found to be in possession of cocaine during a routine secondary vehicle search at the Wellesley Island Port of Entry. Police charged the two with 7th-Degree Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. The men were arraigned in the Town of Orleans Court and both pled guilty to the charges. They were fined $405.00 and returned to Canada.
