Funeral services for Keith C.
Dumas, 72, of Waddington, NY will be held Monday at 10:00
am at the Phillips Memorial Home, Waddington. Interment will
be in Brookside Cemetery Waddington.
Friends maybe received on
Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Phillips Memorial Home, 28
Clinton St. Waddington.
Memorial contributions may be
made to Waddington Rescue Squad or Hospice and palliative
care of St. Lawrence Valley.
Mr. Dumas died Friday morning (July 3, 2009), surrounded by his loving family and Hospice
at his home.
Keith is survived by his wife
Alice, his children, Keith A. Dumas and wife Kate of North
Bay, NY, David W. and wife Nobuk of Japan, Sue E. and
husband Edward Byrd of Waddington, Kimberly A. Schultz and
husband Kevin of Waddington. Seven grandchildren, Kyle and
Kayla Dumas, Angela Hall, Erika Dumas, Nathan Byrd, Chris
and Cory Schultz. A sister Beverly LaLonde of Waddington, a
brother Jay and Tillie Morgan of Wingdale, NY. Six great
grandchildren. Several aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by a
grandson Dana Byrd, and a sister Betty Dumas ininfancy.
Mr. Dumas was born May 1,1937
in Waddington, NY, the son of Kenneth and Pearl (Pruner)
Dumas.
He was educated in local
schools and served in the US Army from 1955-1958.
Married the former Alice Pike
on July 2,1955 at the United Methodist Church in Waddington
with Rev. Clark.
He retired from Alcoa as carbon
changer in 1988.
Following his discharge from
the Army he went to work for the wildlife refuge at Wilson
Hill.
He enjoyed carving old world
Santa Clauses and birds.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing,
and enjoy his sports. He also put in a lot of time taking
care of a couple of elderly Aunts.
