DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - September 1, 2010) - Green Automotive Company Inc., (PINKSHEETS: GACR) announced today that the company has signed an Agreement with Music Superstar Legend and Hall of Fame Artist "Smokey Robinson" as the Celebrity Spokesperson for the All-Electric Zero Emissions Sport Utility Vehicle.
Smokey Robinson discussed the Electric SUV in a news interview on KTLA TV.
Smokey Robinson is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter, record producer, and former record executive. Robinson is one of the primary figures associated with Motown, second only to the company's founder, Berry Gordy. Robinson's consistent commercial success and creative contributions to the label have earned him the title "King of Motown." As an original member of Motown Records' first vocal group The Miracles and as a solo artist, Robinson delivered thirty-seven Top 40 hits for Motown between 1960 and 1987. In 1987, Robinson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a solo artist, he also received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. He is also known for his hit song "Cruisin." In 2002, he was awarded the National Medal of Arts.
The Company also completed a star filled event at the Connected Celebrity Gifting Suite celebrating the 2010 Emmy Awards, where over 100 of celebrities stopped by and were photographed with the All-Electric Zero Emissions SUV and received rave reviews.
